    Hello everyone
I’ve found this gorgeous art piece and frame in an antiques store in Spain. Can anyone offer any insight into who the artist may be and whether this piece has any value outside of the frame as I may restore and repurpose if not. Thank you in advance.

Ok, unfortunately I don’t have any more pictures than the one attached. The artwork can be restored if need be. Thanks for your advice 27CEA478-75E3-42C0-84DD-8D6536335C97.jpeg

maybe a Spanish altarpiece. .baptism. ??

frame's nice in a Neo-classical in your face style...but age and value are uncertain..

Thank you; maybe it has a Roman Catholic importance. The frame is late 18th century, early 29th century. Honestly I believe the artwork may be useless and a mirror could be added instead but I’d hate to ruin a good piece that could be restored

As far as I can see, the painting was done by a lesser artist. But it is very dirty, and it is too small in the photo to see much. If it is indeed by a lesser artist, you may never find the name.
You don't mention the size, but it looks like this could have come from a home chapel or home altar.
I don't see John the Baptist, but it is too small and dirty to see much. I'll see if I can tweak it a bit.
The style of the frame is Rococo, not Classical.:) The painting also looks second half of the 18th century.
    Absolutely.

    Tweaked it a bit.
Looks like the Holy Family. From left to right Mary, a young Jesus, Joseph. Above Jesus is the Holy Spirit.

The Jesus figure could be a Spanish saint instead, clergy like Ignatius, but not Ignatius himself. I am not Spanish, and don't know of a configuration with a Spanish saint with Mary and Joseph.

Neither do I, however the piece may not have been made in Spain either so hard to say.

The painting looks Spanish. The frame could well be Spanish too.
