Featured Brass and glass pendant and chain? Old old or hippy old?

Owliza I really DO keep my tree up a bit too long...

Thrifted this pendant and chain. It is just my style and am very happy with it no matter its origin but am still curious, as always. What did I get??? Age/location. Curious about all the usual stuff.
    What I know:
    1. Cheapy metal - the finish looks very much like a 20s French cycling medal I have.
    2. Purple is stone is something. Glass/stone/even plastic, I dunno. That said, with a loupe, the engraving doesn't look like it is on plastic. Something harder. It isn't as cool to the touch as the metal.
    3. Engraving is crude!
    4. The chain has a nice toothy detail.
    5. Really nothing!

Any thoughts or info are greatly apreciated!!!

If I was guessing, I'd say 1920-something if not even a little earlier. That could be Art Nouveau without much problem.

Sounds good to me! It sort of reminds me if some architectural details I've seen on buildings from back then...

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Unusual style -- are those marcasites on the chain links? Just curious, how long is the chain, and what are the dimensions of the pendant?

I'll guess the stone to be glass, or a real amethyst stone. Do you have any way to test it? Maybe at a jeweler, or a friend who has a gem tester? That would be the easiest.

I beg to differ, I do not see Art Nouveau in this design :(

If I saw that here, I'd say Edwardian.

I'm so sorry- I meant to put dimensions (or at least a reference marker!). The chain is 23 inches. The rectangle is 1.5×1.25 inches. The circle is a bit less than an inch in diameter.

The chain just has little cuts in it, alas no marcasites. It dies give it a nice shine though.

I won't be able to for a bit but will take it in to a jeweler to look at the purple thingy.

Is there any design style that you could pinpoint? It's definitely a weird one
