Hey I've never used this before so hopefully I'm doing it right? Anyway I brought this doll from japan and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how old it is or who made it? Tyy♡

•I got it from ebay by a seller called mugi market japan, the description said something about her being from 1900s onwards I think and I only just got her today.

    Welcome Valentine.
    How tall is she?
Could you show us a photo of the entire doll, of the plinth it is on, the back, the hands, and one of the headdress please?
The use of frilly lace in the headdress is a bit puzzling, I don't know lace to be traditional Japanese.
Is the bird part of the headdress or part of the background?

Yes, that headdress doesn't look like it belongs. Perhaps it was added afterwards?

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

From the one photo she looks relatively new. Very pretty, too.

Thank you! I have never used it with a photo before. I recently made a brief visit to Japan with my sister, to visit her son who is teaching English there. He is getting good with speaking and interpreting Japanese, but used Google Translate with some of the signs we encountered. I had never thought of that, and downloaded the app onto my phone.

This is an ichimatsu or "Friendship" doll.

I have never, ever seen one with that type of hat.
You must remove it immediately! I guarantee she doesn't like it :joyful::p:D
