    "Jail Square?" OI!

However, quite a number of Limoges items were similarly marked, as they were made specifically and only for one particular store. Marshall Field's store in Chicago is another, and Gimbels, I think. :)

Yes! But I can’t imagne this being made for an actual jail. Or it must have been one fancy jail …

It's an old mark, 1882 - 1890, for the Martial Reddon Co. It's a pretty bowl and looks to be a large serving bowl.

    thank you!
It’s actually not very big. The size of my hand. Do you have an indication of the value?

Not terribly high. I'm wondering what its use was since you say it's small. Custard maybe? Possibly for some food that is unique to Scotland? Reddon is not highly collected (if ebay is any indication). Under $20 I would think. If you sell it on line, it would help to dream up some modern use for it since there is only one. I think it's very pretty and I like the shape and design in the pattern.

    Spelled "Redon", by the way.

Oops! Can't believe I misspelled the name, and more than once! Thanks for the correction.
