Hi all, I bought this the other day. I did some research and some listings say it is Judd, early 1900s, but I don't trust listings. I found a Judd catalogue in Google Books but this design was not in it.

It is iron, attracts a magnet. There are no marks.

Could this be Judd and early 1900s?

One thing I wondered is, if you look on the inside on each side, one has an indented slot, the other has a indented circle. It looks like maybe it would hold a bar that holds a roll of paper? Does that make sense? If so this can't be a book rack.

Does anyone have an idea of what, who or when? Thank you for any help.

Each end is 6-1/4" at the widest, 5-1/2" tall and the space between the sides is 5".

    Well, that’s certainly something I didn’t consider :D

Thank you both, luckily it is a perfect size for holding a small selection of books!

I would have never guessed that this was for a bathroom. More like a kitchen design to me. You learn something every day.
