    Hi
I thought it could be Meissen, i contacted them and they said that isnt their mark but they didnt say who it could be, i was having a look and searching, it seems the mark is a little like a samson but apart from that haven't got any idea.

    Thanks for your help

I agree that it's not Meissen. The painting looks hurried and a little uneven. Meissen would have been much more precise. Also note that the bottom looks snow white in the photo so it's possible this box is brand new. We had another post around the same time as this one with a different box. I believe that the earlier box may be a Chinese box with a fake Sevres mark. This might be the same thing here but Chinese with a fake Meissen mark instead.

This is the French Samson mark designated for their 18th century ‘Meissen’ line. It is actually late 19th century. Samson made faux 18th century Sevres with the designated mark of two crossed gold letter ‘s’, sort of like a Swastika. Samson also made a lot of faux 18th century Chinese Export porcelain.

This box has zero wear and no oxidation to the metal. My vote is brand new and likely Chinese - also the mark is blurry which also screams Chinese.

I agree with the above. And poorly pretending to be otherwise.

Would you care to back up your assertion with some corroboration ...?

The painting quality is too poor to be Samson. 20th c somewhere.
