Featured is this a book rack?

    This is made from clear plastic, with gear-like ends and a slider bar. The 3 long silver bars are metal, probably aluminum. It's about 14 inches wide. Just thought it was neat so I bought it. Did not think it would work for books, but it does. Has a non-barcode $1.99 price tag on it, probably the original?
    Any ideas other than book rack? Thanks.

    Certainly works for books. Think the smallish size and plastic construction might be better suited to something like CDs. Looks like it is designed to stack multiple units. Think this would still work with CDs.

    Yes, it does work with cds.

    the back support certainly seems a little low for books

    well it is neat, but a puzzler for sure. I like the small book idea.Maybe holds some fresh fruit like apples. Just guessing.The gears are what throws me off.
