Моля, обяснете ми каква е разликата? Тези две вази са толкова различни. На едната металните нишки не реагират на магнит, другата е без и доста по-тежка.

Please explain to me what is the difference? These two vases are so different. On one, the metal threads do not react to a magnet, the other is without, and much heavier. When do you think they were made?

    Welcome Glorius.
Your photos are very small, but I'll give it a try:
Both you vases are 20th century Chinese cloisonné enamel with gilded metal.

The one on the right is the older one, probably mid-20th century. It has more enamel, and the design are Ming style. That is style only, not Ming period.

The one on the left is partly enameled, showing more of the gilded metal. The cloisonné doesn't have the quality of the other vase. This vase is late 20th century.

The reaction to the magnet depends on the alloy of the metal underneath the gilding and enamel.
The weight could depend the construction of the vase, the thickness of the metal it is made of.

I want to continue the discussion. Look at this piece. For sale in Satauiki, valued at 700 euros. What signs indicate that this is indeed an old piece? Thank you.

Being able to spot antique Chinese cloisonné is much like recognizing other antiques: knowledge. You have to study books etc and look at many different examples.

With antique pieces on the internet you need more pictures to be able to see other signs of age. Could you post the Catawiki link?

Thank you. Yes, that is indeed an old piece. Probably missing an underplate, but beautiful on its own.

Some of the signs are the patina of the gilding and the enamel, and the pitting of the enamel due to bubbles in the vitreous material.
Always look for multiple signs, because fakers have recently begun to manufacture enamel with 'antique' pitting.

Gotheborg is an excellent site, but mainly for ceramics.
Some of the marks are similar to marks on antique cloisonné though.
