Very much influenced by German Expressionism and its woodcuts.

There is nothing on the back. There is only a signature. Not much to go on. It just looks very well done. I picked it up at a antiques fair. No history available.

An antiques fair in what country? And why don't you open up the back and see if any information to be found inside?

I took the foam board off the back. I attached a couple photos. I found it last
weekend at a fair in Tucson, Arizona. Thank you IMG_5396.jpg IMG_5395.jpg

A nice circus / cabaret character theme. It's also nice to hear from a fellow Tucsonan. ;)

Do you think it just says "Germany?"

And I thought it might possibly say "Sammy" or something of the like....anyone's guess!! MAYBE it does just say "Germany"!!! The more I look at it.....I like the print, at any rate!!

OTOH, I copied and enlarged the signature....up to 3X.....you can pretty much see there's probably not enough to assign to any artist.... at least it has a nice plain background around it......sorry!

Belgium had similar Expressionist woodcuts, and caricatures are a very Belgian thing (Ensor for instance).

The second letter looks like an 'a' to me, the third an 'm' or 'n'. So (G)am or (G)an, not Ger.
I can't think why a German (or Belgian) artist would sign or name his work 'Germany', instead of Deutschland (or Duitsland/Allemagne). Or use the name of their country or neighbouring country as a title or signature at all.
