Featured Lake District glass bottle

I’ve always wondered about this apparently old glass bottle that I purchased on eboo from a UK seller about eight-ish years ago. Googling produces absolutely nothing. It measures 21.5 cm tall and reads:
Bowness
Lake District
Bottling Stores
Windermere
Any ideas? Age? Use? Authenticity?
Sorry, it is dirty. I’ve been keeping dried flowers in it. Cleaning hints?

(I like to imagine Arthur Ransome's Swallows and Amazon's swilling their "lashings of ginger beer" from it but, of course, those would have been stoneware bottles, right? )

for cleaning I've been using STERADENT for years ( fizzy denture cleaner ) yum



it would appear to have been mineral water

Bowness Bay Brewing is based in Kendal and I'm not finding anything about their history and your mineral water suggestion?

 

I’d leave it be, I like them as found. I bet thats pop of some kind, ginger beer maybe.
