Featured Any Samurai fans/collectors? Thrift find - vintage(?), signed, Samurai(?) Kendo(?) armor/protection

    I posted this to a Kendo group on facebook & got back that it was manufactured in Sugamo Tokyo by the Yamakawa company. Anyone heard of them?
    Bad news the "signature" is probably the last owner's name & may be Wilson!
    Someone also said it may be bamboo - do they mean the chest protector?
    Thanks everyone for all your help with this
