Crikey, Johnstons of Elgin…… just looked at their website for new products, very nice but so expensive! Don’t think I’ve ever found any at the jumble or charity shop, I do find lots of tartan wool scarves and some mohair ones, I’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for Johnstons from now on.

Not a prayer of those here, although I might get lucky for just that reason. No Caithness glass either. Gotta love it when gold turns up unheralded though!

I always look for scarves, especially vintage silk ones. I will pick up cashmere in like new condition. It doesn't get that cold here anymore, so many are donated. I prefer vintage coats, but many people wear puffy coats, and don't wear scarves with them.

Nice! I can't wear animal fibers, but don't mind scoring them for family members. I can handle cashmere for a while, but wool feels like it's burning me.

Fun little weird finds.2 lucite pyramids (remember when those were all the rage ?) 3 inches high,5 wide at bottom. No artist markings but I just had to have them. I like quirky . Itd be great if someone recognized them.

Second sale there were 40 in line ahead of me. They were only letting ten in the three floor house at a time. I stood in line for over an hour before gaining entry. Watch the competition come out with bags and boxes. Found out everything was way overpriced. P1920694.JPG
Except the unmarked they all missed. 14K on left 2 10K on right. Spent $20.

Seems I've been buying lots lately, this is the seller's photo.

About 1/2 are pretty recent, the other half vintage to antique. The oldest one has the clasp snapped off :(. Fortunately it's a small one, I thought I may try to harvest some of the taza to use for repairs, never tried that before, I assume I'll damage a lot of them but it would be worth a try.

Looks like you found a few!

Some of my oopsies from today and yesterday. The bowl almost has to be Murano, although I just saw the same shape described as Czech. The photo frame had a mark I didn't recognize - turns out to be the old one Lladro used. The froggie is just a froggie pin of neither great age nor value.

Other goodies. Found the two Berndaud fairy lights for $1 the pair. One has sailboats and the other Washington DC landmarks. The swan is probably Murano. The little cup says Dresden and I'm not sure of the vase. The Dresden cup was a whole nickel so I picked it up to figure the mark out. The kitty is Royal Doulton, and the horse probably is too but it's unmarked.

I’ve had that glass bowl, and I think it’s Italian. Your horse looks Chinese.
