Featured Biscuit jar- age

Hi all,I can’t decide about the possible ballpark age of this cookie/biscuit jar. But thinking it does has some overall age. It’s 14cm tall and 13cm wide. Please tell me what you think. Thank you and keep well

 

Looks typical of English items from around 1860-90

 

Good news. Thank you for the reply. Will go search in that direction. Didn’t think it was that old. Personally I was wondering if it was Imari.

 

Agreed, it’s typically Staffordshire late nineteenth. Imari palette, which was very common here.

Here is a seller with some pitchers in the same pattern - you can see your one would have had more gold on the blue areas which would make them make more sense with the design...

I personally think mid nineteenth, would say not after 1880 ish. I'd describe it as being Japonisme from the Aesthetic Movement with an Imari palette.

Should go well - that all-over background pattern is hot right now!
