Help identifying backstamp

Discussion in 'Pottery, Glass, and Porcelain' started by LittleLACollector, Apr 11, 2023.

  1. BlueIMG_1176.jpg Hello, I have exhausted my search efforts in finding the maker of this backstamp. I did find one piece on ebay that had a much clearer backstamp, so I am using his/her picture. They did not seem to know the maker either. I have photo searched Google, and searched the links provided by another member about good resources for backstamps. Have also searched a Koval's makers mark book. I hope someone here will recognize it. The banner appears to say "Liberty and Prosperity".
Thank you in advance for your efforts.

I found this on Etsy, same backstamp but I’ve no idea if the description is correct.

For starters they refer to Ironstone as if it were a company. ;)

Lerner's book of marks has a similar mark as Greenwood China Co/ Greenwood Pottery, Trenton NJ.

  11. Do you think this is um... sanitary ware? It is a spittoon shape.
