Featured Art glass thing with splodges on

    Picked this up today blindly without knowing much about it. I was at the checkout buying something else and spotted it. I looked at the base and saw the pontil mark. Quick feel and couldn't feel any chips so I got it. Google seems to suggest it is murano but I know not all is what it seems in this field. I also missed that one of the lobes around the rim is chipped.

    Hmmm... Well it seems to have more class that "splodges."

    Although the round things look more splodgey, than rigaree-ish.

    Id guess Italian .Pretty little thing,love the deep red.

    Made on Murano, ruby glass which achieves its colour by gold being added to the recipe. Rigaree frill and aventurine inclusions. Probably sixties. And probably Barovier and Toso, they usually are.
