Issue on framed etching inside frame? What do you call this?

Artist easily ID'd and I'm going to be listing this for sale, so prefer not to discuss the artist's name in a way it could be googled. Just want to talk about a potential issue.

At first glance in excellent shape, but as I photographed it in really good light I noticed what almost looks like dust, INSIDE on the glass in the lower section. Just wondered if there is a word for this when I list. Not sure how dust would get inside, so what do you think is going on here, and how to describe it? Thanks.

Definitely on the glass, not the print. Print sits away from the glass with a double mat.

It always surprises me how dirty the inside of the glass on a picture can get. Is there any reason to not open it and clean the glass?

Thanks, MOS. Good question. I know this might sound lazy... but it is beautifully framed, perfect brown paper on the back, and I'd rather leave any disassembly for the buyer. It's going to look like a shambles if I take it apart and sell without that paper backing. But yes, would be easily solved by doing that. Would rather leave that for the buyer. This is not so noticeable in indoor light and someone may just leave as is. But I feel I should say something about it.

Should I just say, "inside of glass could be cleaned" or something? Is this just dust we are looking it, nothing indicating something worse?? Thanks.

It doesn't sound like a serious issue to me, so long as you are satisfied that the problem is with the glass and not the print.

If I'm identifying the right stuff as the dust in question, rather looks like fibers that could have come from edges of matte.

Yes, does look like fibers, maybe from the edge matte. Might explain it. Thanks.

Thanks for the responses. One more question, do you think the frame is teak?
