Help With Signature On Abstract Painting

why does that look so familiar .........??

 

Wow. That's a rough one... The first letter could be an M or N or R... in the middle seems to be a 94 or 96. The last word starts with what looks like a V? I fear that unless somebody just RECOGNIZES the artist, you'll have a hard time deciphering the name. Good luck! I'll have a glass of wine later and get Google-crazy with it.

 

It does look familiar to me too.
Actually, I have not bought it yet. I saw it at a garage sale but it was too large and I don't have space for it on my walls
But I like it quite a lot so I may go back today.
I have a feeling it could be by a listed artist but so far no luck deciphering the signature.

 

Maybe Nan Len '96 Vail or something similar. I could not find an artist seaching that name. What does the writing say there in the middle? Sometimes if you can decipher other writing, it will help with the signature since they should make the letters the same.

 

It has a certain Miro feel to it......& the lower panel looks to have Hebrew letters....and not by accident....but that's all I got.

The same way I figured the other Markos painting that I had before. They are usually framed in huge plastic frames and the back paper boards have some kind of marking and/or stickers. Here it says 'Mark' on the back. That rang a bell why the style was familiar.
I have never seen the signature before as I never found one on my other piece. It was probably there but hidden somewhere in the scribbles.

Ha...now I see the hebrew letters are just scribbles.....funny that !
