Old & Crude Or Just A Wannabee?

Old or new, it's probably not worth anything, but in the interest of learning, I'd like to know what people think.

Is the sloppy placement of the letters in "Sweet" an attempt to make it look old and primitive or is it possibly old and primitive?

I think I tested it previously and it wasn't silver, but I'll double check that. It's an inch or so long.
