    Seriously cool find.
Some of the amazing rings shown on that Yorkshire Museum site were found by metal detectorists.
I’ve told my OH I expect nothing less from him but so far all we’ve had is a few bits of scrap

Tony (Black Adder),Mick & Phil were quite happy.Reruns of that show got me thru the early darkest days of Covid. As soon as the quarantine was lifted I wanted to fly over, buy a shovel & metal detector !
PS-I think rabbits started unearthing Roman fragments.

Plenty of Mosaics in Cirencester, Time team were regular visitors to the area. Chester Street was a good one.
Great excitement when an archaeological dig found what they thought was Boudicca’s headstone under a garage but that now seems not to be.
Time Team excavated a villa at Withington, I know the land owners really well and my OH is lucky enough to have a metal detecting permission on all their land. The villa field is scheduled so off limits but the rest must have some good stuff on it!

    The link about the headstone.

And what they built on top of it

I think it far more likely *I* was/am at Wetwang though hard to be sure.
Though the clay reconstruction is ... erm... unflattering

The immature part of me ( ie the thinking part) always, always has to snigger at Wetwang.

I immediately thought Chinese when I saw 'Wetwang',not so as Wetuuangha is mentioned in the Domesday Book.
PS-...and here's hoping your Wang never gets Wet.

Not sure I even have a wang to wet but either way: here is that renowned beauty ... Wetwang **snigger** Lady

( Edited to add: I DO believe she is beautiful, didn't mean to denigrate her. She has a face gorgeous in its experiences.
Scars add character and she looks to be unbelievably interesting. Would love to see a different rendition too)
