Are the clasps gold? That makes a difference to know as plastic beads unlikely to have those. First ones look as if they might be coral.

The clasps and spacer beads on the first necklace are not gold. The clasp with the pearl on the second necklace is 14K gold.

Blue one looks like Lapis Lazuli?

Coral & lapis lazuli. The gold elements could be gold filled; no way to know from photos if no marks.

Thank you. Just to clarify, the blue beads on both necklaces are lapis lazuli? I tested the unstamped gold on the coral necklace and it didn't test as positive.

    The "lapis" looks very strange....

Wouldn’t there be a few gold flecks somewhere?

2nd photo down there appears to be a pink spot,on the right side it looks like a flaked area. The color of the beads shows what could be white calcite which has been poorly dyed, but it just be the lighting in the photos.

The best grade of Lapis has no pyrite. Not all lapis has pyrite.

I think that's just the light reflection from the window?

The necklace (blue one) looks identical to the one I took apart to use the beads on my fishing rigs! :jawdrop:

Does the clasp work properly on the coral beads? The 2 sides don't look like they belong together.

It's a box clasp, locking "bar" on the exterior and locks with the notch on the spring/tongue part.

I noticed the pinkish spot you're talking about. I don't know if it could be pyrite or calcite, but it is an odd color. The flaked area you mentioned is not actually scuffed- the photo just makes it look like it. I think it is just another spot of pyrite?

Yes, I just photographed the latch sideways. If I turn the latch the other way it locks with the rectangle notch like Holly explained.

That fish hook shaped tongue belongs with a traditional pearl clasp. The tongue for this one should be more like this:

You hook the tongue onto the loop, but then push in, like a regular box clasp.

    This is the other type:
