Pop quiz guys! Who can tell me what this is...

Can someone tell me if this is real or fake and what kind of sword this is and how old. Is this Genghis Khan's long lost sword?!? Would this be worth anything?

I think it is Colonial India, tagging @Any Jewelry for the provenance!

 

It certainly looks to be from that general area, south-southeast Asia. Anywhere from India to Indonesia, I think. But I can't pinpoint it, maybe @komokwa knows.

the blade looks good...the handle is lovely...but the markings on the blade confound me...

that's a nice site...with prices...and detail...but unless u know exactly what you're looking for...it takes 4 ever to go thru it.

 

I was thinking about that crown before. It looks like the way the Dutch crown was often represented in Indonesia in the 19th century. But it could be another crown as well, of course.
I have at least one keris sheath with that crown. I'll see if I can find one.

You guys are the best! It sure looks like Russian Shashka and you guys think it's a real one, not a reproduction? How old do you think it is and what would something like this be worth?

 

While I am just an amateur blade lover, for any fair market value you'll need to have a known web site selling these to look at it.
I do not think it's a tourist item...but I'm uncertain as to it's age.
The sheath would have helped pin both of those down...but alas...

 

Does anybody have any idea what the moon and the sun with the numbers or letters on the blade mean?

 

i'd suspect the owner personalized his sword....
