This jar is 11.5" inches High and holds over 2 gallons. I bought it because the bottom is so different from the Ohio Pottery. Condition is not great chip and maybe a repair on bottom edge. I cannot find anything similar to this. My questions are what area of the country, can maker be identified and lastly does anyone see a scratched
    name in third photo

    Hi,
With your great photographs I would contact Crocker Farms. They are so nice and reply quickly.

Thanks for your photos. This is unfortunately considered a more
mass-produced item that does not tend to have significant value. The
value of stoneware like this is really in the blue decoration, with some
other factors also affecting it, so undecorated examples only in rare
cases tend to have value. From a historical perspective, this could have
been made anywhere from the northeast out to the Midwest, and it would
not be possible to attribute much more specifically than that,
unfortunately--but thanks again for sending, and sorry we can't help
    further with it.

    Hi Suzy,
It was what I was thinking but it is best to go to the experts. The bottom looks different since it was made resting on sagers. I can not remember if it was higher in the stack of unfired items or lower. Does not make a difference, it just looks different than most crocks.

    Greg,

Thanks again ! It is damaged and I only bought it because of the different bottom.
Now I know "Saggar" did it. Learn something new everyday !
