    I have a Mohs scale tester and it tested a 6. I’m pretty sure it’s Jade. Old jade.

    Just curious why you think it's funny. They are pretty much what are known as salt and pepper shakers in these parts.

    Salt and pepper and maybe sugar shaker like the English muffineer (Wiki def: A dish for keeping muffins hot. (obsolete or historical) A small jar or caster with a perforated top for sprinkling salt or sugar on muffins)? I dunno.
