    Any characteristics of a specific country/region on this DOD skeleton ? 2 ft. tall, carved, articulated, some age-maybe 1960s-70s. s-l1600 - 2023-03-15T135701.004.jpg s-l1600 - 2023-03-15T135627.462.jpg s-l1600 - 2023-03-15T135549.983.jpg s-l1600 - 2023-03-15T135210.097.jpg

México maybe. They have a cult of the dead. But newer rather than older.

I"m old - DoD to me means Department of Defense, which makes for rather an odd combo. This looks brand new to me too; Day of the Dead decor has gotten to be popular in the last decade or so.

I agree, it does look like something associated with contemporary Day of the Dead celebrations.

However, those "eyelashes" circling the eyes are generally associated with carved masks from Guatemala. Day of the Dead is one of the most-celebrated holidays in Guatemala, as well.

Or maybe this is just a case of "Guatemalan influence" on a Mexican carving. Without an import label, it's difficult to positively tell.
