My name is Ruth and I am a junk-aholic and I am helpless to control my addiction. Bless me Junkers for I have sinned. It has been days since my last confession. I confess to hitting the same estate sale twice on Sunday and once on Saturday and spending more than I should have on things I don't need, but were too cool to pass up. ...and now you bunch of hopeless backsliders are going to want pictures....

A flow blue plate by Myott. The pattern is Monarch and it dates around 1907, which seems to me to be pretty late for flow blue.

Sounds late to me too, but I'd put cookies on that without question. Flow blue could be another problem of mine if I let it.

Here goes. This isn't everything, just a good sample from one estate sale and a Rummage sale the night before. First four shots. The rose is ivory. Those gas pumps are Christmas ornaments, but they look like Standard Gauge trackside pieces. The green and gold necklace is NOS and bakelite to boot. The piece at the bottom is a pre-1947 engraved cigarette case. The two knives are enameled silver and either rolled gold or the real deal. Old, either way. 101_0047 (640x473).jpg 101_0046 (442x640).jpg 101_0048 (640x460).jpg 101_0050 (640x480).jpg

I'm not sure what the anchor was for originally, but as long as someone pays me for it I"m happy. The work in progress cherry prystal necklace isn't shown. The porthole piece isn't old; it's three or four layers of lucite showing dolphins, and a lady who really needs to buy some more clothes. The Western style pin is sterling and dragon's breath glass. (found at the rummage sale in their leftovers...THUD) The bug is cracked, but amber.

This female sometimes buys "guy" stuff; I've watched American Pickers one time too many, along with Gas Monkey Garage. Raised by a rail nut. It kind of goes with the turf. Here's one I don't have a name for. Made by Micronta for Radio Shack, back when Radio Shack actually sold parts for radios. 101_0058 (640x309).jpg
