Featured Native American or African

    I would guess Native American by the bead work design.

    plains indian medicine rattle...... dance piece , tourist piece...new.... IMO.

    Thanks komokwa for you reply do you think they would keep the hair on it for a Tourist piece Seems Like for a tourist piece they would remove that and for a tribeused itemThey would leave it on In my opinion

    if it was for native use it would be much finer than an item for sale....

    Is the donut stiff and hard = rawhide, with something inside that makes it rattle? That would explain the unprocessed appearance. I agree with @komokwa that it is a recent piece, but not sure whether for use or sale.
