The sticker says "Made in Japan"....?
I would guess an import somewhere in the time range of 1950s thru 1970s.
You can check ebay completed auctions to get an idea of what the pitcher has been selling for lately.

I think it's a shame that marking items via a sticker was allowed since so often they're removed.

Agree which is why I was shocked this sticker was still there.
Had it not been I probably wouldn't have bought this piece.
I think it had only just come from someone's collection and being at a general flea market told me it wasn't with the vendor very long.

Hi King! I was going a hundred miles an hour Sunday when I looked at your pitcher, and didn't even realize it was you. Should'a known considering the sailing ship. :joyful:
Now that I've had time to look around, I can't find one like this anywhere in the whole wide world of the internet!

    And now, something completely different.

I have some Navy utensils somewhere, too, from the '60s. They were given to me by my boyfriend at the time was in the Navy ROTC while in college.

    Nancy's Collectibles answered thus>
"I am very familiar with those little blue labels. From what I have read, they came into being about 1950 to now. There were earlier labels after the Occupation, but they were cheaply done and most fell off the piece. Around 1950 is when the process was improved, which is why most have survived since then."
