There are no Proof W quarters. All 2019 W Quarters were put into Circulation to inspire coin collecting. So a proof is not attainable. Also uncirculated in theory is unattainable,, however being as Uncirculated is a condition state and not a definition, it is possible to get one considered uncirculated. There are 5 quarter designs for this year, The mint is making 2 million of each design which will have the W mint mark, and dropping them directly into circulation, none are being made for sale through the mint to collectors.
edit: Proofs are not available for W mint marks only, A proof will have an S Mint mark and the details will have a frosted appearance.
So far 4 of 5 deaigns have been released.

Bakers.....If it has a W mint mark then it is special indeed. If it has a P,D or S mint mark it is not one of the special ones. I myself would save an S mint mark though since for me here on the East coast they are much harder to find. Post a picture of it if you can. I'd like to see it.

Nope - It's a D. Which I suppose makes sense since Denver is the closest mint to us. Boo.

A PROOF coin has a "Mirror " finish on the background. They are specially made and polished to a high quality standards. the higher points will have a frosted appearance to them.

Throw it in the jewelry box and save it. the new quarters are so badly made, that I expect them to be worn smooth in a few years and nice ones may command a premium! LOL

I've been helping my grandson collect all the state quarters, so if he doesn't already have one of these it will go into his collection. I have an old tin in which I've saved a variety of older coins - Eisenhower 50 cent piece came from my grandfather when it was brand new.

The STATE quarters and the America the Beautiful Quarters are 2 different runs. The State quarters were issued 1999- 2008 . The America the beautiful Quarters are from 2010 through now. America the beautiful quarters features National/State parks. They can be told apart pretty easily, The ATB series has a raised ring around the picture on the back. State quarters don't. Time to start another collection with the granson

Lovely necklace, obb. The beads look like Chinese beeswax amber, very popular in China. This darker colour is often achieved by a special heat treatment called steam dyeing. Can't say for sure if these are amber or treated, here is what to look for:

Even if they are treated, they are probably amber and it is a beauty.:)

Sorry - I meant the National Parks. But since they're designated by the state they're in, I misspoke. He does have all the State Quarters already.

About $60, however I'm trying to get it confirmed that it may be a variety, the 9 is struck over a 6 or 8, but that does not change the value much.
I'm keeping it in my collection, its going alongside the 1853 and 1854 Half Dimes I have.

Thank You!!! More than I would have thought!! I HAD an old coffee can that I'd put a bunch of pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and half dollars that were from mostly when my Dad was growing up (he was born in 1917)....and before....so..... however, one day when I looked recently, the pennies were there, but all the "silver" was gone.....I'd wrapped them long time ago in tissue to keep them separate.....guess it made it too easy for some repairman working in the cellar at some point......it won't kill me, but I hate the thought...of someone taking something.... just never got around to researching them.....and knew some were in the 1800s.....ah well.......

My favourite find in some time. Got these at auction for £40. Couldn't believe my luck. They came with a Hammersley queen anne teapot, creamer and bowl that will more than cover the £40 and then some. Also came with a set of cast iron victorian scales with weights, a ships bell, a spong coffee grinder and quite a few other bits and bobs. Someone was sleeping that day. P1020923_640x480.jpg
