I recently bought this bowl and it's full of little bubbles. Is this a bad thing? I saw a photo of the same bowl at EAPGS but I cant see if it has bubbles. Maybe someone here has a piece in the same pattern and can answer my question. (Pattern: Mikado aka Jeweled Butterflies/Late Butterfly by Indiana Glass Co. Introduced: 1907)

It's not part of the pattern. It's caused by impurities in the glass.

Yep, what Don said. But that sure is a pretty pattern! I love the little butterflies around the rim.

Oh ok, good to know. I guess this affects the value of the piece in some way, right?

Yes it is!:joyful: I'm not a fan of butterfly patterns but I like this one very much :)
