Thank you, Hilga, for the attempt, which does not completely exonerate the dear doctor from fulfilling his promises. There is no way the owner of this exceptionally rare, vintage, hard to find, antique and one of a kind Virginia produced article will remain on the market while the Doc is whooping his head off, breaking more ribs and hiding in some infirmary after having passed on such a debilitating disease to hundreds of his students.

For a person born on the anniversary of the birth of the country from which he fled as soon as called upon to honor his promise, we cannot accept a request for an extension.

We strongly urge you to contact him by telephone or special messenger and advise him to respond to this notice. That to be at your earliest convenience.

In the meantime we request that you immediately remove his likely infectious avatar and replace it with one of your own. Upon receipt we shall convene a meeting of our committee and after thoroughly examining the replacement the Chair may be able to offer a few concessions.
