Yup - the one in the middle of the group on that page. And it's as close to mint condition as I have ever seen "in the wild."

Legal tortoiseshell! Or sort of legal anyway; she's a mouse pad thief.

You're looking for proof condition. Considerably different from mint condition.

She has her own definite ideas of what a wrist rest is for. What she really likes to do is press her head down on the back of my hand when it is resting on the mouse. I keep a pad on either side of the desk; the cushier one on the right is the one we both prefer.

Okay. Not familiar with the term. How do I know which it is? (FYI - haven't looked with a loupe but I cannot see any marks at all.)

Different coin but same idea. The black on the right one is really mirror like.

Can't tell you how many times I've nearly stepped on this one in the near dark:

Well DUH. My cat only sits in my lap when she wants something. She isn't interested in my desk unless she's not getting her fair share of attention, i.e. more than half.

@evelyb30 - the chap I bought the scarf from had designed them, and then had them made up from good Chinese silk. They are indeed based on Analog and Astounding, which pleased me immensely.

I was quite pleased.;) The Dior is, I think, one of the 80s pieces. Found its twin on Etsy for a stupid price, but that's Etsy. The dangles are described as gripoix and may well be. The necklace is probably faturan rather than butterscotch amber, nice Chinese export filigree clasp.

    Keeping. I am Smaug.

I assumed that since they were from West Point they'd be proofs, but maybe not. So just look for the W to the right of Washington's neck.

You mean the "proof" coin has a black background to the image on the obverse? Really?
