Delft Figurine - Lammechien?

Hello everyone - okay, I give up! What's a Lammechien? Figurine is 7" tall. Is there a reference for more contemporary delft marks? Thanks for whatever insight you can provide!

It's a famous statue in the Netherlands in front of a church. The Delft piece can't be too old since the statue only dates to the 50s.

 

Thanks, Messilane - I might never have found it without you! And thanks, evelby30 - we don't get a lot of older delft around here but we do have a lot of these more recent tourist type pieces turn up. Normally I skip these pieces but this one seemed large enough and unusual enough to warrant further investigation. I'm still searching to find a site or book that deals with newer delft marks.

Got ya covered. The book Discovering Dutch Delftware by Van Hook (1998) shows the PS mark as Plateelbakkerij Schoonhoven.

 

Thanks, say_it_slowly! I immediately went looking for a copy of the book on Amazon. Couldn't find one for under $140. Will have to go without for awhile!

Yikes! It's just a paperback, think I paid about $20 for it new. I usually search bookfinder.com for books and if you really wanted a copy it looks like Amazon Italy has one for about $45.

What is it with that book? Had to check it out. Yes, originally sold for $24.95. Now selling in the hundreds. I lost one site, but it showed every single "for sale" - about 12 of them -from $175 to over $1,000. Why isn't the publisher doing another printing?

Thanks, TheOLdGuy, for going to that trouble. I'm sure eventually sanity will return. I am also confused as to why the publisher would not reprint. That could probably price a reprint at $39.95 and have no trouble moving them.
