Vase stands 6" tall and has 3 handles. Measures 3 5/8" across the top and 5" across the base. Unmarked so I don't know maker or what this is actually called.

A three handled cup is a tyg.

I've never heard of a tyg, and I didn't find a definition, only acronyms.

I've always called them loving cups, but see in searching they are also called the Pass Cup.
I found this printed in April of 1914

    Adding:
Just because it was printed 100 years ago, doesn't make it true.

I always thought a loving cup had two handles. In searching for tyg, I also did not come up with much. Searching antique tyg brings up many similar examples.

Loving cups have two handles, tygs have three. I'm unconvinced this is Japanese.

    Any idea of its origin?

The house has a ton of oriental stuff...and with the orange handles I thought this would be as well.

The shape isn't any Japanese to me. European makers copied Japanese decoration and colours. Something in my head thinks Austrian, German or French maybe. LAte 19th/early 20th anyhow.
