    Hi there folks,

Just looking for a spot of help with a few items please. We have a wardrobe, dresser and round dining table and chair (x4) set we are needing to sell.

We’re in the middle of renovating the house so are completely cramped, and unable to take any great pics at the moment.

    The wardrobe is approx 7ft x 5ft x 2ft, the dresser is about 4ft x 4ft x 2ft, and the dinning table about 4ft in diameter.

The dining table is in the shed currently so inaccessible!

Please excuse Winston the cat obscuring the dresser (he does not come with the dresser!)

I believe the items may be around 100 years old judging by the limited info I have found about Ray & Miles, but could anyone confirm the style / wood?

We have no idea where to begin with pricing them. They do have wear and tear on them as the pics show, but I don’t think it’s anything beyond a little TLC.

    Any advice greatly appreciated!

    Chris

lovely set......but today it may be just brown furniture, who's market value is at best ...low.
That , plus you'll likely need to sell as separate items , because like u say......so completely cramped ..... is where many folks are exactly at right now.

    I don't see 100 years....but I'm unfamiliar with the brand name...

Our Brits will be by with their comments....so stick around !:happy:

Probably just a bit shy of 100 years old. Art deco in styling. Not terribly valuable in today's market and, by my understanding, would probably do better in the US than in England. Davey could probably advise you better in this when he comes around.

    I would say late 20's early 30's.
I get many similar in house clearances.
I can't sell them or give them away.

I have a local charity that takes away beds and suites and large furniture from my clearances but they won't take these.
I break them up and take them to the commercial waste plant.

Sadly, davey is right. You could try Freegle or Freecycle.

    Splendid void cat, that.

    Thank you all!

Shame, they’re quite lovely but just not very practical for us anymore.

Might be worth just as much as firewood in this cost of living crisis! (although I could leave the dresser for Winston seeing as he has taken a shine to it).
