I thought sodium corroded silver, thats why most salts have blue glass liners.

It's not the sodium that causes corrosion it's the hygroscopic nature of salt plus the chlorine that corrodes the copper out of sterling

I love those evening bags. The beaded ones were probably made in Hong Kong: they did fabulous quality ones.

Bet they originally had some kind of stand, possibly not metal.

    boxes

They just sat on the table at an angle (the same way you'd rest a real umbrella to dry it), have seen quite a few in the original boxes, usually a shallow wooden box with the handles removed for easier pachaging...

Some finds from yesterday, separate posts. I posted some on the jewelry board already with questions. I hit a yard sale and bought about 25-30 lbs. of jewelry for $20, mostly new, some damaged, but some pieces made the buy worthwhile. Then a barn sale had a dollar table. The cameo was purchased from an antique dealer at the barn sale, definitely not a dollar.

She was not on the dollar table, unfortunately. I do think I got a bargain at $75 still. :)

Thanks. I have to jam a bunch on a paper plate and show some more, but I really have to force myself to clean now and then go to Walmart and the Acme. Ugh.

Only found a new-issue 2019 quarter in this week's change - War in The Pacific. @Bdigger is this one of the special ones you mentioned earlier this year?
