Hello everyone - sorry to be pounding the board lately but I'm trying to get my desk area cleaned up. Broke two items yesterday (nothing major)because I've got too much stuff stacked around. One item that survived is this little pitcher. It stands 2" tall and has an incised mark "Georgia" on the base and the initials BT (?). I've run across a bit of North Carolina pottery but nothing from Georgia before. Does anyone recognize it? Thanks!

A couple auctions list that mark as W. J. Gordy but I have no idea if that's right.

    That's what Lehner's says, SIS.

Actually, I should back off just slightly. That section on the Gordy family potters, includes the use of the name Georgia Art Pottery.

Thanks, Bakersgma and say_it_slowly! I got thrown by what I thought were initials - silly me!
