I HAVE to get rid of this darn thing - for how much, and is it a settee or a settle?

    Sorry for the late reply but have been out of town.

    Think you are selling this mission sofa or settle a bit short at $200.00 (Unless to a friend ;) ). There was a time when something like this, even in this condition, would bring $6-800.00. These days, I would not think it unrealistic to get $350.00 or a bit more for it, particularly in your neck of the woods. Have you checked the backside, inside, and under the arms for a mark?

    No, don't think it is Gustav Stickly but could be Stickley Bros. or one of the other known makers.

    Hi Brad. Well when push came to shove I couldn't put it on for $200 so I put it on craigslist for $300 or best offer. http://worcester.craigslist.org/fuo/5256247757.html
    I've looked all over it with my naked eyes, but they aren't so great. I'll go over it with a flashlight.

    Well the settee's fate is settled, it is riding way up on top of the heavier stuff in my truck. The neat thing about picking it up in person was getting to meet and talk with our valued member "book." What a beautiful person with a heart of gold, and a hard-working antiques dealer too! We are privileged indeed to have her as a member of this forum.

    It would have Been amuSing to See uS moving that Settle out of the houSe and into SPring'S van. He waS gently trying to adviSe me the BeSt way do do it. Of course I had my own ideaS. Only later did I thinK, my god, thiS man hoiStS cannonS around and PacKS them uP for a living, and I'm telling him how to carry a Settle!
    BTW SPring, it SoundS liKe you DID Buy Some thingS at that auction!
