    hi everyone,

I’m on the road still, show and tell later. Does anyone recognize this mark? It was cheap so I bought it planning to research later:

Not a clue. I think we'll need to see a pic of the whole item before we can say much.

Not much to see but I’ll get a few pics up. It’s a flat blank round tray. It has a curved edge very similar to the niello work I found recently. my initial instinct is Middle East.

say_it_slowly The worst prison is a closed heart

    Any chance it's 8" across and it's an 8?

Certainly not sterling and unlikely to be silver plated either.

Not sure. Something that wears easily.

Ah okay, right now looking at it, it’s at least plated (maybe just plated). I’ll see if someone else knows mark, otherwise I’ll acid test it later tonight. It was $2 so no stress if I was wrong

Sorry I misunderstood your original question. That’s a definite possibility. The mark seems a bit too square, i think it’s either a symbol or the initials cb perhaps

    It’s plated, oh well.
