    Good morning, Glassies!
4 3/4" high, 3 1/4" foot, 3" rim, ~17 1/2 oz; un-adorned save for the grips, an' at the mold-lines beneath them. No UV reaction; lots of wear on the bottom.
Was it a drinking vessel, or a conserve jar (perhaps with a shallow tin lid)? It seems too ornate for that, but the grips aren't convenient for my large fingers...an' why 2 of 'em?
What have I got here? Maker, pattern name?
    Thanks for lookin'!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Could it have been for salt, pepper, or some other granular seasoning? With a shallow lid, as you mentioned? It looks like it would have had a lid.

Yes, it does...an' the examples in the link don't show that slight cylindrical rim, or lip, that mine has...although the other details match well. Spooner or Spill it may be, but that rim intrigues me, especially in comparison.
I like that it's older than I dared imagined, plus the pattern has a simple, almost generic name. Interesting also that there appears to be no substantial link to any specific maker, 'tho apparently several of them produced the pattern, or close to it. This piece of glass remains a work in progress!
