Cancerous Japanese mixed metal vase age help

    I think it is Japanese. Little 6" heavy vase. Has a brass or bronze exterior with some white metal showing through. Lots of small cancer spots like rust? and the greenies on the bottom. I am thinking Japanese because of the crane, And old. But how old?

    My thoughts were that cut out might have had the maker mark inside it. But just a thought.

    Bulldog-I had one years ago.The rectangular mark on the side had been punched-out for a lamp cord to run through w/ the bulb socket rammed on the top.Don't know if factory produced or home handy-man hack.
