Antique silver fork - please ID

    With that single very worn mark (I can't really count the other "marks" as anything decipherable) it's almost impossible to ID. But the style plus that *thing* cause me to suggest made in Hanau.

    What testing method did you use to determine that it's "solid silver?"

    In my opinion it is no earlier than the 19th C. Forks did not have 3 or 4 tines till the 18th C. The suggestion of Hanau has merit, if not there some other fantasy factory.

    In general object fit into an artistic or cultural pattern. This just seems over the top.
