    Hello folks!
I've never before bought something to sell before. But I just came across this brooch on kijiji selling for 60$. I probably wouldn't wear it but I know margot de taxco pieces sell for a lot so out of curiosity I looked it up and found the same one on ebay listed for 395$.

My question is, do y'all think the seller on ebay will get their asking price? Should I snatch it up and attempt to sell it despite having no selling experience or does that seem like a potential loss?

I think your question is not very answerable, I would never encourage someone to purchase something that would obviously be a hit or miss, you may have to follow your own instincts and accept any losses you may have or maybe gain .. Joy.

oo that's interesting to see one the price one actually sold for rather than just a list price! I know I certainly wouldn't buy it for the price of the one on ebay, just wasn't sure if it was a design other people really fancied for whatever reason! If that's generally what they go for then I probably wouldn't bother just to make a potential 20$ or possibly nothing!
    Thank you for your input!

fair point! I wou;dn't normally consider it, just seeing that list price I had a moment oh "woohoo it's valuableeeee!" but doesn't necessarily mean it's that valuable
Will stick to pieces I love
Too bad it's not a Margot de Taxco piece I love because if it were you bet I'd snatch it up in a heart beat!!

thanks for the links- what a great resource I didn't know you could look up sold prices!
Wow @ the first link- It's quite stunning when paired with the matching chain!! But to see it sold for slightly less with the chain makes you think the brooch alone wouldn't make nearly as much
So glad to have seen it with the matching chain though!!

I only buy things I really like, even if I intend to sell them. Part of my decision making process is thinking: would I mind if this never sold and I was stuck with it. If the answer is yes I would mind, then I don't bid or buy.

Of course sometimes you are stuck with things that come in a lot with otherwise nice items.
