Any ideas Era or Style on Tongs & Manicure Set

    An interesting fact about sugar tongs is that they steadily became shorter from the late 18th C to the mid 20th C. I'd say thse are early 20th C. I see an 800 silver mark but that's all.

    The manicure set is probably similar period.

    I think the mark on the tongs is 800. Possibly Italian.

    The manicure set is American, but without a maker's mark, no clue. You could try searching "Beaded" to see if you can find others.

    If the tongs are Italian (which I think is likely,) they date from before 1933 when official mandatory marking started.

    Another naming convention I've found for the style of "beading" decoration shown on your manicure set is called "pearl" - I have a stainless set like that.
