Another family photo -- any guesses on age?

Komo, good idea... if I do sell the pin, I will include photos of her in her uniform.

I have a photo of my grandmother when she was older, sitting with a group of other nurses. That photo was probably taken at Beth Israel since as far as I know it's the only hospital she worked at. She was my nurse there when I was born, when I had my toncils out at age 4, and when I had surgery to correct strobismus at age 8. I remember her being there with me, and I know it helped make it less scary.

As an aside, we almost shared the same birthday, but my mom's labor lasted into the next day.

I need to go find where I put the pin and check it with a loupe. The pin looks to me like 14 karat, but I don't remember seeing any markings other than what shows in the photos.

Not only is the inscription different, the 1911 pin doesn't look quite as nice to me. The pin looks different, too. My grandmother was a registered nurse, but I haven't looked up when the "RN" designation was first used.

Does anyone read Hebrew? I'd love to know what it says in the center!

 

Komo, it looks like the pin in the link Susan posted has the karat weight on the end of the clasp. Not sure, though.
