    Hello again -

My mother had this in her bathroom over the sink. I've seen a wide range of prices, but I have not been able to track down one that is just like this. It has a few spots on the bevel pieces where the reflective surface has worn off. I could not find any indicators of where/when this came from, but I also have not taken all the little screws out. I was hoping to get some information before I did that. Any info is appreciated. The measurements are 38 1/4" x 40 1/4". EDIT: I need to clean my ceiling...that's not on the mirror.

Side question: If I am uploading several pics of an item, is it preferred that I list them as thumbnails or the full image? I'm just thinking if I had 10 pics, I'd be scrolling a lot. I think I just answered my own question.

That back makes me think not terribly old. Maybe 1980s or so. Still its a pretty thing. They still seem to sell, but that all depends on where one is. Is that chips or just discoloring of the silver?

I was thinking the same thing about the back. It definitely doesn't look too old. The bad spots are just discoloration. I haven't noticed any chips at all, but if I'm being completely honest, I haven't spent a lot of time looking for them. It's definitely heavy and it feels very sturdy. All of the bevel pieces are still in place, none are loose.

Since it is not an antique, it really is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it for decorative use. When, where, and how selling will make a difference. I am not finding many of similar size so not a lot to compare it to. It seems you can get a new elaborate smaller one in the $250.00 range. Really large elaborate ones can run in the thousands. Being used and with some damage, I think we are in the hundreds. Large city prices will be higher than in Podunkville. Pick a number a bit higher than you are comfortable with and be willing to bargain.

Yeah, no luck on finding any similar ones either, only a confusing spread of prices for some similar. I haven't listed this one yet, but I will make sure it gets to Dallas and the metroplex. I have another mirror that I'll be posting shortly and I'm curious to hear your thoughts on it. It's very old, large, and heavy.
