Mystery tool?

Hey everyone, found this random tool about a week ago and this forum is my last effort to figure out what this thing is lol. I know it doesnt look old, but maybe someone might know what this thing is used for? Almost looks like a glass cutter? Or can opener? I dont know?!?! I tried googling the business, and they make specialized equipment. Couldnt find much.

 

I will suggest some type of sheet metal cutting or possible crimping tooling?

 

fabric or leather cutter.....

Lol, i texted them and the guy told me b&g industries is not the same as b&g enterprises. I was really suprised they responded so quick

 

Cutter of something. seems to work along the same lines as a pipe cutter.

 

i thought pipe cutters were beveled on both sides ?

 

I'm on the cutting/crimping/bending train, but that's just a guess for sure.

As INH suggested, company does/did seem to be aeronautical.

 

I have some pipe/tube cutters, this is different. Cutting disc or cutting wheel is inline with two rollers, and you can see wear marks on brass adjusting block where rollers had been rotating. On a pipe or tube cutter, the rollers are on either side of cutter. Specialized what ever it might be used for, I thought aircraft as INH suggested earlier.

 

As @verybrad suggested, not saying pipe cutter, but similar principle.

I also have some pipe/tube cutters.

Though I would bet a considerable amount of money that mine are way way WAY smaller than yours.

I'm not completely clear on your edits, but that's more a conversation about the pipe cutters than the OP's tool, so probably not important. I think we all know what pipe cutters are.

 

I was comparing OP's rollers and cutter of this tool to a tube rollers and cutter. My edit was correcting a poor description on my part. no biggie

 

From my neck of the woods ....we have not been area code 408 since 1998 . We are now area code "831". Hangar Way is by the Watsonville Municipal Airport. Could be aviation related , also could not be . There was a lot of electronics manufacturing there ( SBC Scanners ) , there is a wine storage / tasting facility , I worked there for Pacific Bell as a contract Hydraulics Mechanic on the telephone vehicles . Seems I have seen that before but it escapes me what it is for . Watsonville is very agriculture centered.... strawberry , raspberry growing and other stuffs. Commercial Nurserys... It reminds me of a tool to split PVC or solid plastic tubing for wires....... Damn it, now i have to know !!! (LOL)
