I've seen this article before. Back in the 60s you could get a decent used car for the same price. (as in one that ran) OTOH if one of these turned up in the ReStore for $100 I'd run off with it. If they thought it was worth $700 it would be at the auction house they consign things to anyway.

I doubt even the boobs at Goodwill would put that on the floor.

We just all have to keep dreaming that will happen.

It'll almost have to be someone in a low-density area that still has thrifts run by little old ladies who don't know what they've got. Not much chance of it happening here.

I love the search and yes deep inside I think about the possibility of a great find. I have had some good finds but of course nothing in the millions just a few thousand $ profits for a $1 -100 investment. If I made those millions it would probably ruin the hunt. A friend of ours shot the third larges buck in the state of Missouri while hunting on our farm. He told me years later that it ruin the hunt for him. Never went deer hunting again.

I had one large score, big dough for our middle-class lifestyle, but I was right back to it the next week.I guess I'm like one of those manic joggers out there running on the icy street in the dead if winter.
The only thing that got me to 'cold turkey' was an email from Paypal telling me all further sales will politely be forwarded to the IRS.
    It worked,for a while.
