If you have Netflix, the original series is there for the viewing (several others series, too - but I can't remember which are and aren't).

One hopes everyone who wanted one had a consensual relationship with the gender of their choosing.

But it was the sixties, so probably not.

As I recall, Spock and Data both had their relationships. Data was quite the man! "Fully functional" I believe he said! ;););)

Nope, she quit the show because she was unhappy with her character. I'm not sure how the other story got started, because to my knowledge she has always been open about why she quit and there was no animosity.

Frankly, I never even heard of the Memphis Group before I found this pin. I am a fan of how much it may be worth, however! :greedy:

I researched them a while back for a graphic design project ...one internet article I read quoted someone who called Memphis Design (paraphrasing) "a shotgun wedding between Bauhaus and Fischer-Price."

Which I thought was pretty accurate. :hilarious:

I liked some of the glassware in the '80s, and had a couple of Memphis-inspired brooches (very nice piece, Bluumz), but the furniture for the most part left me cold - and detested it after seeing 'Ruthless People' with it's major overload...

The desk set is fab, and Ted needed a home.

I've run into it before, and the description is dead on. It's collectible, but I've always called it Bad 80s to go with the gigantic hair and shoulder pads.

The brushes are highly specialized; what are they for?

I have no idea. Just like the look of them. They were in a box of old shoe brushes. I now wish I had just bought the boxful.

I am not a teddy bear person, but I like this one. He is straw stuffed, glass eyes and in great condition.
