I'm sorry, sorry, sorry for this terrible picture I took of this 12" all-metal sculpture...

To clarify its visual confusion, it's a two-sided round disc shape with several machine-part-looking appendages welded on that suggest bird beaks, esp ravens to me, and longer wires that suggest whiskers or hair. Definitely abstract. Ok.

My question: can anyone help with what I assume is a signature?

    Thanks........ and sorry!!

    For SHAME!
Yer pic's are OK; they convey the somewhat deranged (disgusting?) convolutions of an aspiring artisan's fevered reality. You're not considering purchase, surely?
Imagine confronting yer ambivalence about the wasted purchase money, your initial infatuation, an' your righteous SO's insistence that it be removed from in its place of honor to make room for their...bowling trophy for most improved team member 1954!
No-brainer that it would be, there's the heartache, an' severe monetary loss...not to mention a deep emotional investment in this 'piece'.
No, no...far better to avoid all, that...just leave it to some other fool to harvest, saving your precious family generations of Holiday Season excuse-making for its presence in your cozy nest.
There...an' you're welcome. Always happy to help! :D

    I love yer response!

They said as much about Van Gogh!

No... that's for this 26" piece of spray-painted chalk ware I brought home yesterday:

That looks like it was assembled from found objects.Interesting.

The bottom of the logo looks like a hammer and anvil pictograph. XK on top of a crucible? "WM" inside? So frustrating because it's a great signature...

A somewhat dangerous looking piece of art. On the plus side the tag does say ‘special price’ (or is that for item next to it?)

Next week it might be ‘very special price’ or even ‘giveaway’ (we can only hope) Cool looking logo or signature (I like it much more than the art itself)

Yes-- Ill hafta try a a different picture and see if I can't 'capture' it a little better...

I agree that the signature, while confusing, doesn't look totally amateur.

With the hammer and anvil below - it could be a loose reference to Thor...

Since it also looks like an F, I assumed the reference was to the foundry where it was made.

I agree with Mirana that it may be a foundry mark, and if you turn the picture of the mark sideways it is HT with the lightning emblem inside a large G with a small x and maybe a T incorporated into the G.

Nice interpretation. How can we have so many letters and no ID?? :joyful:

I based my assumption of the lettering on the fact that the "lightning" or electric emblem is always depicted vertically not horizontally. Most likely a factory stamp of some sort .
