I think you owe garageguy an apology, he is a newbie like yourself and does not deserve what you did to his thread.

You may have felt embarassed that you wrongly identified the Hindu Lingam case as a snuff box after the mystery had already been solved, but insulting me was not a way out, on the contrary.
paul, getting something wrong is never a problem on Antiquers, it happens all the time.
Implying that another member is a pervert for correctly identifying an item is a problem, for obvious reasons. It was a first on Antiquers, and I sincerely hope you will not present us with more of the same in future.

I also hope that you will be able to acknowledge what you have done and act accordingly and in a polite way.
